I enjoyed this movie, but I think I’d have enjoyed it a lot more if I was Korean. The performances were great, and I liked that the movie spends a decent amount of time focusing on each character (save for the daughter, who’s essentially ignored). It’s a story about family values (among other things) which I normally find cheesy as hell but it didn’t feel like that at all. Also, having your own room as a kid was not at all a thing in my family but I never really gave this a thought prior to watching this.
