It’s playing in the theaters here, so I couldn’t miss this opportunity to rewatch one of Wong Kar-wai’s best. It’s still as good as it was the first time I saw it (probably 15 years ago?). This time I really loved how Cheung and Leung create so much chemistry through very subtle acting and camera work. (A lot of the time you don’t even see the characters' faces!) A minor gripe: I remember really liking the music sequences when I first watched it, but now they felt a bit too careful for me to enjoy them.
