This was surprisingly refreshing. It’s relatively light-hearted even as it goes into more deep and serious themes. This being a Danish movie, it’s decidedly pro-drinking, but it’s more interested in using alcohol as a window to explore life itself, especially regarding what makes a life worth living, and also relationships, and aging. And if you’re not into that, there’s a scene where Mads Mikkelsen dances like a maniac that alone makes the movie worth watching.
