It’s not one of my favorite Kurosawas, as I find it a bit too thin in plot and I’m generally not a big fan of “prophecy-based” stories, but visually it’s as masterful as some of his best work. One detail I like is arrows flying through the screen, first when Kunimaru and Noriyasu go to Miki and then later in the iconic final see. We never see who’s shooting them until the very last moment, with Washizu yelling treason. Incredible.
