I continue to be impressed by Olivier Assayas' ability to mesh fact and fiction so effortlessly. I generally get a feeling of self-indulgence when I watch movies about filmmaking, but this time I didn’t even notice it. And the final scene, presented right as I was mentally checking out of the movie, was pure cinema.
