This is what I wanted Scenes From a Marriage to be. There’s a lot of sweet moments, but what stuck with me was the atmosphere of slight discomfort with one another and their insistence on avoiding kitsch and traditional couple stuff, which might have been the initial point of attraction but now undermines their relationship.
